The cast of Disney XD’s new DuckTales show is actually pretty great

Here’s something to warm nostalgia-loving hearts: Earlier today, Disney XD revealed the voice cast for its reboot of DuckTales with a charming singalong to the theme song. On top of that, it turns out the cast is filled with stars adored by the internet. Most notably, David Tennant is taking on the key role of Scrooge McDuck, while his grandnephews—Huey, Dewey, and Louie—will be voiced by Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan, respectively.

Rounding out the group: Moyinhan’s Saturday Night Live colleague, Beck Bennett, is Launchpad McQuack, Kate Micucci of Garfunkel and Oates is Webby, and The Neighbors’ Toks Olagundoye is Mrs. Beakley. Everyone, especially Tennant, is extremely enthused to be crooning the theme, making this new version of the show all the more appealing. Disney XD previously released a teaser image highlighting the work of art director Sean Jimenez of Gravity Falls. The series premieres next summer.
