The circle of life continues in the first trailer for the live-action Lion King

It’s Thanksgiving, a day when people all over the United States eat the things that are dumber and weaker than we are. There’s no better day, then, to debut the very first trailer for Disney’s “live-action” remake of The Lion King. Alright, it’s only “live-action” in the sense that it’s not a cartoon like the original movie, but we’re too busy eating another slice of pie to really worry about unpacking that. Anyway, this trailer has all of the things you’d want to see in a Lion King trailer, including CG animals, African landscapes, a voiceover from James Earl Jones, and even a certain baby lion.

The Lion King will be in theaters on July 19, 2019.
