Though it’s been described as a sort of Keeping Up With The Kardashians for the late 1800s, Another Period is really more of a televised exercise in both slightly off-kilter history and hard-earned laughs. Co-stars Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome play Newport, Rhode Island’s least eligible Gilded Age sisters with flair, and with a supporting cast that boasts everyone from Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks and Wet Hot American Summer director David Wain to a few wooden buckets of hot, lumpy human waste, the show has a little something for everyone.
At least some of that insanity plays out in the exclusive clip below from this week’s episode, “Senate.” Reintroducing David Koechner’s character, The Commodore, the clip both boasts an impressive Ambrose Burnside joke and a romantic interest for Hortense, the “ugly” sister.
