It may be winter, but we’ve found ourselves missing the shade, the shade of it all—and by “all,” we of course mean RuPaul’s Drag Race, which will hit its 100th episode when season eight premieres next month. Luckily, Logo TV’s just released an extended trailer to stave off our craving for sequinsed gowns and another round of the Snatch Game.
RuPaul and the judges welcome 12 new drag queens this year, one of whom will (arbitrarily) be the 100th queen to compete on the show, though that’s not necessarily the person who will be crowned America’s Next Drag Superstar. The trailer provides glimpses at season eight’s fierce competitors, including Britney Spears impersonator Derrick Barry and cosplaying queen Dax ExclamationPoint. It looks like we’ll see the usual charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent—and reading—with at least one queen making a rather clumsy exit from the runway. And this season, RuPaul and Michelle Visage will get some help on the panel from Debbie Harry, Amy Sedaris, Marc Jacobs, and Vivica A. Fox.
