Radical hip-hop outfit The Coup may cancel the rest of its current tour with Mr. Lif after a severe bus crash early Saturday morning. The tour's bus flipped and caught fire near San Diego after a show at the city's House Of Blues. Although everyone managed to get off the bus before flames engulfed it, three people–rapper Silk E, Mr. Lif's DJ Wiz, and the bus driver–had injuries that required airlifting to nearby hospitals. Everyone else on the bus escaped with minor cuts and bruises (except the merch person, who had a severe hand laceration), but lost everything in the fire, including their gear, clothes, cash, and laptops.
The Coup immediately canceled its upcoming shows in Boulder, Colo., Denver, and Chicago. The rest of the tour, beginning in Cleveland Heights and concluding in Santa Rosa, Calif., on New Year's Eve, is also questionable.
