The Cranberries announce new unplugged album
According to Rolling Stone, the Cranberries have announced a new unplugged album appropriately called Something Else that features acoustic versions of some of the group’s classic songs—yes, including “Linger” and “Zombie”—as well as three new songs. In a statement, singer Dolores O’Riordan says “Linger” specifically still has a lot of “sentimentality” for the members of the Cranberries, and they believe that its message “remains timeless and relevant” even 25 years after its original release. Something Else will be available on April 28, and though you’ll have to go to Rolling Stone to hear the new version of “Linger,” you can listen to the original one below. Just imagine it with more orchestra instruments.
