The creator of Mario visits the Henson Studios, is adorable

A lot of websites are going to try to tell you that their video of a lion cub trying to roar is today’s most adorable video. Normally, that would be entirely accurate (it just squeaks!) but not today. No, today that title belongs to a clip of the 62-year-old creator of Mario having the time of his life playing around with a puppet of a vulpine fighter pilot.

For a little backstory, Nintendo’s E3 presentation this year was heavily puppet based and, as it turns out, if you want to do anything with puppets in this world you’re going to have to go through the Hensons. That means that we all get to be treated to a video of Shigeru Miyamoto running around the Henson Studio playing with puppets, doing the Charlie Chaplin walk, and speaking at length about the Nintendo collaboration with Brian Henson.

Watch the video embedded below and be on the look out for some choice No, You Shut Up! and Farscape puppet cameos. If you can get past the cloying “wah”s of the New Super Mario Bros soundtrack, it’s likely to warm the cockles of your heart.
