The creators of HBO's Animals discuss how the beautiful Echo Park Lake influences their writing

With the third season of HBO’s animated series Animals underway, The A.V. Club jumped into a swan boat on Echo Park Lake with creators Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano to talk about the new slate of episodes. The lake, which lies on the edge of Los Angeles’ historic Echo Park neighborhood, is a favorite spot for Matarese and Luciano to write and collaborate.
