The Critics' Choice Awards release annual list of films that were out this year, basically

After letting myriad industry guilds, print and online critics’ associations, and the foreign press have their say, finally it was time to hear from the broadcast film critics, who spend the year tirelessly crafting all the blurbed superlatives that mediocre movies need in order to advertise. Nominations are out for the 19th annual Critics’ Choice, and they contain all the hearty chunks of mainstream consensus simmered in superfluous gravy that your broadcast critic craves—stretching out categories like Best Feature to 10 nominees to avoid any possible snubs, and extending that spirit of inclusivity to being the first critical body to recognize the disembodied voice of Scarlett Johansson in Her. Furthermore, there are entire, separate categories created for Best Young Actor/Actress, Best Action and Comedy Movies—and Best Actor and Actress within each of those—to continue the broadcast critic’s mission to see that no movie from this year goes without some praise.

Here’s the complete, very long list. It’s AN AMAZING THRILL RIDE FROM BEGINNING TO END, and EASILY AMONG THE VERY BEST LISTS OF THE YEAR.
