British goth-rock veterans The Cult announced today that it will release Choice Of Weapon, its ninth studio album and first since 2007's Born Into This, in the U.S. on May 22. But if four months is too long to wait to have that Ian Astbury-shaped hole in your ears filled, fear not: The album's first single "Lucifer" can be downloaded for free via the band's website. The on-again-off-again foursome also announced that they're planning a world tour this year. Show dates are in the works.
