The CW announces fall crossover dates for its superhero shows

Fans of The CW’s line of superhero series—Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow—know that there’s nothing more enjoyable than when the heroes visit each other on their respective series. Flash may call Arrow for some advice. Some Legends heroes may stop by for a musical episode. Supergirl/Kara may host some special guests from Central City.

Playing to its superpowered strengths, Deadline reports that The CW announced at TCA today that instead of last year’s successful four-night crossover week, this year’s event will consist of two two-hour nights. On Monday, November 27, the light-hearted Supergirl will pair up with the dark-hearted Arrow, while on Tuesday, November 28, Flash will hang around with the Legends gang, which is now a lot more fun than anyone would have imagined after its first few episodes.

CW president Mark Pedowitz agrees that Legends “had a rough first season, but they had the most fun second season anyone could have.” He also told the TCA crowd that “Supergirl really found its groove,” when it moved from CBS to CW in season two. In looking forward to The Flash’s fourth season: “It’s about finding the lightness in Barry Allen that he had in the first two seasons,” which, after several gloomy Barry episodes, we can all look forward to while we count down the weeks until the crossover. No word on any more musical episodes, but at least we’ll always have this:
