The Daily Show’s Larry Wilmore to co-star in pilot from It’s Always Sunny creators 

For most of his career, actor-writer-comedian Larry Wilmore has been known more for every other part of his multi-hyphenate than the “acting.” But he’s been getting a lot more camera time since his role as The Daily Show’s “Senior Black Correspondent” made him a familiar face, and now he’s set to co-star in a comedy pilot that Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia), Rob Rosell (an It’s Always Sunny producer/writer and co-creator of the new animated series Unsupervised), and Dan Dunn are developing for Fox. The show, Living Loaded, takes its title from a book by Dunn, a journalist, comedy writer, and perennial talk-radio guest. According to Deadline Hollywood, Wilmore plays “a thoughtful and reserved black intellectual whose dream of hosting his own NPR show is crushed” when he’s partnered on the air with a fictionalized version of Dunn, a “loose partying blogger.” If the series is picked up, Wilmore is still expected to continue to appear on The Daily Show. The blogger is played by Mike Vogel, who as recently as last Sunday could be seen as Dean the ladykiller on ABC’s Pan Am, but the general consensus is that his schedule is about to open up a bit.
