The Decemberists' Colin Meloy announces run of solo tour dates this fall
The Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy is heading out on a solo tour, his first in five years. A full list of dates is below. Meloy will be playing material from throughout his career and, as is his tradition, he’ll also be selling a special EP of cover material at these dates. Previous editions have included 2005’s Colin Meloy Sings Morrissey, 2006’s Colin Meloy Sings Shirley Collins, and 2008’s Colin Meloy Sings Sam Cooke.
The Decemberists' most recent record, The King Is Dead, came out in 2011, but Meloy’s been keeping himself busy since with his children’s novel series, The Wildwood Chronicles. Its third volume, Wildwood Imperium, is due out next February.
