Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (The CW, 8 p.m.): This week’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend asks a pretty good question: “Why Is Josh In A Bad Mood?” Why is Josh in a bad mood? Let’s try to find out. “Rebecca is hiding a big secret from Paula, which begins to affect their friendship. Josh and Greg switch roles when Josh makes a discovery that angers him, while Greg is happier than he has been in a long time.” Josh and Greg in a faux-body swap plot?! Allison Shoemaker is sold! We’re also sold on next season having more faux-body swap plots. Give it to us, CW. You already give The Flash like a million (that’s the number, right?) Earths.
Lucifer (Fox, 9 p.m.): Did you hear the news? Your friendly neighborhood What’s On Tonight contributor’s favorite show (Lucifer!) has been renewed for a second season! Please clap. What’s in store for tonight’s episode, “St. Lucifer?” “When philanthropist Tim Dunlear is found dead, Lucifer explores his good side by becoming a benefactor for Tim’s glitzy Los Angeles charity.” Absolutely absurd! We love it! Now for the previously unannounced news: That same contributor (LaToya Ferguson!) will be reviewing the rest of the first season, starting tonight. Positive thinking works! But only if you’re LaToya Ferguson.
The Detour (TBS, 9/9:30 p.m.): Remember when The Daily Show’s Ed Helms and Samantha Who’s Christina Applegate did that Vacation sequel? Imagine that on television, but with The Daily Show’s Jason Jones and Dirty Sexy Money’s Natalie Zea. Now you’ve got The Detour. Yes, TBS has another new original sitcom to take away from the network’s schedule of Friends and Seinfeld reruns. The Jason Jones/Samantha Bee-created (Bee’s taking over TBS, you see) comedy premieres tonight, and it’s “based on the real life couple’s own experience with family vacations.” Also, it’s already been renewed for a second season, so no need to worry about if it will survive before you tune in. Allison Shoemaker’s pre-air review of The Detour says the “series is worth taking out for a spin.” Puns! (By the way, is it strange that after years of Justified, your friendly neighborhood What’s On Tonight contributor still refers to Natalie Zea as “Dirty Sexy Money’s Natalie Zea?” It’s not? Great, thanks!)

Premieres and finales
The Magicians (Syfy, 9 p.m.): The Magicians ends its first season tonight with “Have You Brought Me Little Cakes.” Psst, were we supposed to bring little cakes? We brought wine. Is that okay? “Season 1 concludes with Quentin and Julia using time magic to get to Fillory, where they try to catch up with the students who are 70 years ahead of them searching for the Beast.” So the little cakes are no big deal then? Lisa Weidenfeld, did you get the memo about the little cakes?
The Real Housewives Of Dallas (Bravo, 10 p.m.): This is a brand new series of The Real Housewives, and they really just keep cranking them out now, don’t they? We wonder if any of these women went to WrestleMania this year…
Iron & Fire (History Channel, 10/10:30 p.m.): This is also a brand new (reality) series, but it’s not as glam as The Real Housewives Of Dallas. “Backwoods blacksmith Daniel Casey is one of the most skilled craftsmen in America. Using raw steel and ancient timber, Daniel hammers out a variety of historic weapons for a roster of highly discerning collectors and enthusiasts. Based in a close-knit community deep in the Ozarks, tradition and family are close to Daniel’s heart, but at the end of a long, hard day, he’s all about fun as he kicks back with buddies to test his creations. The result is a jaw-dropping array of exploding targets, speeding bullets and razor sharp knives.” So that’s a choice.
Gay For Play Game Show Starring RuPaul (Logo, 10 p.m.): “You don’t need to be gay to play, but it sure does help!” That’s good to know, RuPaul. Apparently, because Drag Race isn’t enough—and really, how could it be?—RuPaul also has a brand new game show. “Shot in front of a live studio audience, contestants’ entertainment IQs are put to the test when host RuPaul quizzes them on the hottest pop culture moments. As they answer hysterical trivia questions, contestants have to decide whether to trust their own instincts or to turn to the ‘Gay for Play’ celebrity panel for help. Then as the competition heats up, contestants pair up with one celebrity panelist and have 69 seconds to answer as many trivia questions as possible for a chance to win big cash and prizes.” Hehe. “69.” Danette Chavez‘s pre-air review of the series doesn’t snicker at “69,” so you can find a different perspective there.
Hunters (Syfy, 10 p.m.): “In the series premiere, a troubled Baltimore FBI agent becomes involved with a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists, who may or may not be from this world, and who may or may not be involved in his wife’s disappearance.” So that’s what Syfy’s new show Hunters is about. (Hey, don’t be disappointed by our lack of reaction. Dennis Perkins’ pre-air review kind of justifies it.)

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, “Dennis And Dee Go On Welfare” (Netflix): Once upon a time, a little show that could got a second season. Now it’s never going to die. So let this be a lesson: Lucifer could totally make it to 14 seasons, just like It’s Always Sunny will. By that point, hopefully there will at least be one ode to this classic episode of television.
