The developers of The Witcher finally unveiled their next game, Cyberpunk 2077
Acclaimed Polish game developer CD Projekt Red teased
its next RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, way back in 2012 and
has remained almost completely silent about the project ever since.
With The
Witcher III now fully out of its system, the studio is
finally returning to its ambitious sci-fi outing. Microsoft’s E3
2018 showcase closed out with a slick trailer for the game.
It didn’t show what the moment-to-moment action might look like as you control the story’s star, a hired gun named V,
but it gave us our first real look at the setting, Night City. And
yep, it’s pretty much what you’d want out of a game with
“cyberpunk” right there in the title: neon and robots and
cybernetic enhancements everywhere, a grimy city on the verge of
collapse, the clean-cut corporate scumbags who keep it there, and,
of course, noodle stands. The game still doesn’t have a release
date, but when it does arrive, it’ll be launching on PlayStation 4,
PC, and Xbox One.
