The Dismemberment Plan play new songs at small shows, is a new record in the offing?

After reuniting for a tour in 2010, The Dismemberment Plan has finally written some new songs. The band debuted eight new tracks over the weekend at small shows in the Washington, DC area. Some low-quality videos of seven of the songs are below, thanks to the Internet’s finest music nerds.

Frontman Travis Morrison said via Facebook that the group has no firm plans to record any of the tracks, though “certainly those conversations are happening now.” He also says that the band is still tweaking the songs it played and writing even more. Here they are, in their Internet glory.
