The “Dustin Diamond goes to jail” reality non-show gets another season
Former child actor Dustin Diamond is once again behind bars, the Associated Press reports. The Saved By The Bell star apparently violated the terms of his recent parole, according to an unnamed law enforcement official. Diamond was released from Ozaukee County Jail last month, having only served three months of a four-month sentence after he was found guilty of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon in June of 2015.
The actor’s legal problems arose from a Christmas Day 2014 incident in which he allegedly brandished a “stiletto folding knife with a 3.75-inch blade” and “accidentally stabbed” a man during an altercation at a bar near his home in Port Washington, Wisconsin. While incarcerated, Diamond was able to knock 30 days off his sentence by participating in the faculty’s “Jail Porter Program,” in which he earned one day of “good time” for every 24 hours spent performing custodial maintenance, Fox6 reports. Neither the details of his probation breach, nor how much more time he’ll have to spend in jail, are currently known.
