The Farrelly Brothers' Three Stooges movie secures its place in film history by bringing in Jersey Shore cast

Having surfeited itself on comically mismatched nuns, the Farrelly Brothers’ Three Stooges movie has now moved on to bringing in the cast of Jersey Shore to cameo, thereby cementing the film as one for the ages. Lo, many years from now, future eyes will look upon this reboot of The Three Stooges and its ensemble of early millennial TV stars slapping each other and say, “’Twas ever thus, gorgamax,” “gorgamax” being the new word for “amen.” And for the Jersey Shore menagerie, this foray into acting-but-not-really could be the beginning of a whole new career, sort of, as Access Hollywood found out when it enabled JWoww and Sammi with the kind of fawning encouragement normally reserved for the parents of kids who just placed third in the school talent show.

“For the Farrelly Bros. to say how well we did… it gives me chills,” JWoww said, recalling the day that they portrayed drunken louts and the guy who made Dumb And Dumber said it was adequate. “Like, you never know,” Sammi rasped. “Like, I actually enjoyed acting, and I enjoyed being a part of it, so I would love to see what the future holds, whether it’s acting or something else.” Indeed, it will be interesting to see whether her future does involve acting or the much more likely scenario of something else, even if it involves exploring the furthest reaches of the universe in a spaceship that she herself designed.
