The Fear The Walking Dead airplane webseries premieres Sunday

The series takes place in the Fear The Walking Dead continuity and is set on an airplane that goes haywire when an early outbreak affects a passenger on board. The hook of the series is that one of its characters will join the cast of Fear The Walking Dead in that show’s second season. Because if World War Z taught us anything, it’s that surviving a zombie-filled plane crash is totally possible, so long as you wear your seat belt.

While it looks like most of the Flight 462 chapters will be frustratingly short, it’s possible the initial chapter will be a little bit longer. The webseries was originally described as a “half-hour special,” which could mean it will have a 15-minute long opener and 15 short follow-ups. Or perhaps the creators just changed their minds about the series’ length. There’s also the fact that while The Walking Dead is airing 16 episodes this season, they’ll be broken into two halves, which means we could be waiting until March to see the conclusion of a 15- to 30-minute-long webseries, unless Flight 462 keeps airing during the hiatus.

Really, the whole thing is a little murky and unclear at this point—which, come to think of it, really does make it the perfect companion piece to Fear The Walking Dead.
