The Felice Brothers travel back in time with "Cherry Licorice"

Folksy but intense rock band The Felice Brothers have spent the last eight or so years honing their unique sound. The blend of rock, roots, and country has served the band well, and this June, the band will release its fifth and latest LP, Favorite Waitress. The album marks the first time the band’s ever recorded in a proper studio, and the first single, “Cherry Licorice,” is an oddly-steeped ode to never growing up. Below, The A.V. Club has the premiere of the lyric video for “Cherry Licorice,” which is just as eccentric and eclectic as the track itself.

The band has a number of tour dates scheduled for the spring and summer, and those are all listed below. Favorite Waitress is available for pre-order now both via iTunes and via Dualtone. The first 250 people to pre-order the LP through the latter will receive fancy “cherry licorice” red vinyl.
