The Finding Dory trailer sets up a touching adventure that will soon be forgotten

Most talk-show hosts use their programs for boring stuff like talking to famous people or playing beer pong with famous people, but Ellen DeGeneres has used her show to form an empire of dancing, cute kids who are good at singing, and pulling weird pranks on Matt Lauer. It makes perfect sense, then, for Ellen (the show) to host the exclusive premiere of the first trailer for Finding Dory, the sequel to Pixar’s Finding Nemo. DeGeneres stars as Dory, the forgetful fish whose story is funny and sad in the way that so many Pixar stories are, and it looks like this film will delve into more of her backstory. There’s not much else to this clip, but at least it gives us a chance to see Albert Brooks’ Marlin again. Kids love Albert Brooks.

Finding Dory will be in theaters in June.
