The first and final frames of all your favorite shows, played simultaneously

About a year ago, Baltimore-based filmmaker Jacob T. Swinney put out a video called “First And Final Frames,” in which he took the first and final frames of dozens of movies and put them next to one another. Inspired by his video, filmmaker Celia Gómez did something similar, but with TV shows.

Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Frasier, Friends, The Sopranos and Lost are among the shows included in the video. Gomez does a great job of pointing out how many shows have similar shots to start and open the series, including Lost and Sons Of Anarchy, as well as how some super-beloved shows have really, really dull first frames. (We’re looking at you, Friends.)
