Before we start, The A.V. Club would just like to say the teaser you’re about to see sucks dick. Seriously though, all it does is confirm that cast members from the original Wet Hot American Summer, including Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter, are returning for the series, but we knew all that already.
The text below the teaser on its YouTube page does contain an interesting bit of information, though, claiming that the Netflix series will take place on the first day of Camp Firewood ’81. (The movie took place on the last day of camp, for those who clicked on the headline simply because it contained the word “dick.”) It also says that David Wain is directing the Wet Hot series, from a script by him and Michael Showalter.
