Given a slate of 454 songs—later narrowed down by a panel to a final slate of 10, including the likes of Wanda Jackson's "Let's Have A Party" and Three Dog Night's "Never Been To Spain"—Oklahoman's voted The Flaming Lips' "Do You Realize??" as the state's official rock song. Over 21,000 votes were cast, and the Lips won 51 percent of the vote.
For those of you holding out hope for "Psychiatric Explorations of the Fetus with Needles"… well, better luck next time.
