The Flaming Lips to release a full-length movie shot entirely on a vertically held iPhone

Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has made a new documentary using his iPhone, and it sounds every bit as annoying as one would imagine. A Year In The Life Of Wayne’s Phone compiles 28 hours of defiantly vertically shot iPhone video; it premieres at this year’s SXSW, where viewers will no doubt spend the whole time grumbling, “Turn it sideways!” The Lips will also play several shows during the fest, including the Warner Records showcase.

The Terror, the band's "bleak" new album, is due out April 2 in the U.S., followed by an extensive tour. A full list of dates is below, which you can go and shoot on your iPhone. Turn it sideways.
