The Flash’s Rick Cosnett joins ABC’s Quantico
Since his character, Eddie Thawne, killed himself in the finale of The Flash so that his descendant in the future couldn’t become the villainous Reverse Flash—though he probably could’ve just sat on a microwave for a few minutes and gotten the same effect—Rick Cosnett has been in need of a new acting gig. According to Deadline, he’s found one in Quantico, ABC’s upcoming drama series. Quantico focuses on a group of young FBI recruits who not only have to put up with all the drama that being a young FBI recruit entails, but also one of them is a double agent who is planning to launch “a devastating terrorist attack.”
Cosnett will play Elias Harper, “an incredibly funny former defense attorney” who is “openly gay.” He’s also “a debate-team type who loves to be right but also has a soft and kind-hearted side.” Basically, he sounds like an all-around solid dude, which means he’s absolutely the one planning this terrorist attack. After all, Flash viewers spent half of its first season wondering if he was the Reverse Flash, so he has some experience playing a guy who might be a bad guy.
