The "Free Snoop" campaign begins in earnest for The Wire's Felicia Pearson

The rallying around The Wire’s Felicia “Snoop” Pearson, currently being held without bail on charges that she conspired to finance a heroin operation, has moved beyond scathing letters from David Simon and become its own official “Free Snoop” movement. Last week, Pearson’s representatives argued that she had been unfairly targeted for arrest because of her role on the show as well as her past criminal background. This week Pearson’s attorney, Paul Gardner, released a video in which he urges fans to write letters of support in care of the detention center where she’s being held, then collects testimonials from rapper Wale, DJ Khaled, and record executive Kevin Liles. While such words of encouragement, from Wale or otherwise, are probably cold comfort to Pearson, here’s how to provide them if you’re so inclined. Still no "Free Snoop" T-shirts though.
