The gang from Daredevil season 2 got all dressed up for a teaser image

Above the acting, directing, writing, and even special effects, the most important thing about a superhero movie/TV show is the costume. Basically, a movie can be hot garbage, but diehard fans will still buy action figures if the guy in the cape looks cool. Similarly, an ugly costume can overshadow even the worst superhero movie, which is why two of the biggest things people remember from Batman & Robin are the nipples on George Clooney’s suit.

The first season of Netflix’s Daredevil show resisted the big costume reveal for as long as it could, saving Matt Murdock’s official superhero outfit until the end of the finale. But the show is taking the opposite approach for season two: With a pair of high-profile characters from the comics joining Daredevil this year, the show has decided to cut to the chase and make it clear that—despite what you saw in the trailers—The Punisher will definitely wear a shirt with a skull on it. And as far as many Punisher fans are concerned, that already makes him one of the best characters in Netflix’s corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This clothing-based reveal comes from a teaser image that the official Daredevil account posted on Twitter, in a tweet that also showcases Elektra’s final costume and a rear-view of Daredevil himself. Neither of them are wearing shirts with skulls, though, so Punisher fans have no reason to care about them.

Daredevil will premiere on Netflix on March 18.
