2017 NBA Finals: Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (ABC, 9 p.m.): In 2016, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers overcame the incredible obstacle of hailing from Cleveland to win the NBA championship, the ’Land’s first title in any professional sport since 1964. It was a thrilling comeback, made all the richer by the fact that the Golden State Warriors—who had just set an NBA record for regular season wins and were anointed New Gods of Basketball by everyone who wasn’t rooting for the Cavs—had three chances to win all the marbles, but blew each one. This year, the Warriors bring Kevin Durant and zero playoff losses to the finals, which means it would be even better if they again shot themselves in the feet for three straight games. The “Repeat Of Embarrassing Defeat” begins tonight in Oakland.
