The Gotti biopic officially turns respectable with addition of Al Pacino

Bolstering itself against growing public scrutiny, the mob biopic Gotti: Three Generations continues to shore up its credentials to pass itself off as a legitimate business, not some kind of Travolta Family racket with payouts to Lindsay Lohan on the side. Its latest bid for respectability: Al Pacino, who will rejoin his You Don’t Know Jack director Barry Levinson to play Neil Dellacroce, the big, broad-shouldered Gambino family underboss who was also known as “The Tall Guy”—a role that the 5’ 6” Pacino was born to force stagehands to build specially staggered sets in order for him to play. Anyway, the addition of Pacino to the production is the mob equivalent of providing a W-2, meaning the heat is probably off for a while.
