The great war has begun in the Game Of Thrones season 7 trailer
HBO has released the first trailer for the abbreviated seventh season of Game Of Thrones, which premieres on the network in a little less than two months. And, as Jon Snow (Kit Harington) promises in the extended clip, the climactic war for the Iron Throne we’ve been building towards all these seasons has begun. Along with Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and her now fully grown dragons, we’ve got the newly reunited Stark siblings vying for the throne; Dorne’s vengeful Sand Snakes and the Ironborn of House Greyjoy don’t feature as prominently in the trailer, but we can assume that they’re the “enemies from the south” and “enemies from the west” referred to by Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) as she and her army prepare to defend House Lannister’s reign by any means necessary. And let’s not forget Jon Snow and his existential war against the undead armies at the Wall.
Could we have more than one epic battle episode to look forward to this season? We’ll find out when Game Of Thrones returns to HBO on July 17.
