The guy who stole nude Scarlett Johansson photos gets 10 years in jail (so don't do that)
Christopher Chaney, the Florida-based computer- and nudity-enthusiast who hacked the phones of Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis, among others, has been sentence to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay nearly $70 thousand in fines. We reported this story way back when the leaked Johansson nudes were crashing servers left and right, and it came to its logical conclusion yesterday with this sentence. It could have been worse for Chaney—at one point he was facing a possible sentence of up to 121 years—but it could have been better: The prosecutor recommended 71 months, but the judge decided he'd like to keep Chaney locked up a bit longer. It makes sense, as Mr. Chaney is maybe even creepier than he first appears: He not only stalked celebrity devices, but apparently a couple of civilians as well. [h/t to and more details at THR]
