Apparently in Sweden there's so much money to go around that bands can loan each other millions of dollars and not even realize it. The BBC is reporting (via Pitchfork) that a Swedish court has ruled that The Hives must re-pay The Cardigans $3 million that was shuffled around by a management company representing both groups. The Hives claim they were unaware of any such loan, and they plan to appeal. Perhaps they should just have a rock-off for publishing pink slips: If The Hives win, they get the royalties to "Lovefool" forever, and if The Cardigans win, they get "Tick Tick Boom."
