The first trailer for the final installment in The Hunger Games film series saw Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) preparing to do whatever’s necessary to lay siege to the Capitol. But the second trailer for Mockingjay—Part 2 reminds us of what prompted Katniss to start a revolution in the first place.
The “For Prim” trailer is filled with tearful scenes between sisters Katniss and Prim (Willow Shields) from the previous films. Katniss takes Prim’s place in the Hunger Games, Prim tells Katniss her family supports her, and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) intones that it’s “the things we love most that destroy us”. This trip down memory lane ends with the sisters embracing in a sunny meadow, but only after the tagline hints at yet another sacrifice.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2 hits theaters on November 20.
