Jump scares are cheap, sure, but they’re still fun. Watching people jump in their seats and giggle is one of the best parts about seeing a horror movie in the theater, and the Insidious movies have never been above facilitating this sort of communal adrenaline rush. (They’re also not above using an entire damn paragraph as a tagline, but that’s another story.) Insidious: Chapter 3 is set to hit theaters on May 29, 2015, and from the looks of the first official teaser trailer—which hit the Internet today—series screenwriter Leigh Whannell intends to keep up the skittish tradition in his directorial debut.
