Those in the know are probably aware that Ben Schwartz—an actor perhaps best known as Parks And Recreation’s Jean-Ralphio Saperstein—provided some vocal inspiration for Star Wars’ BB-8. Schwartz has admitted that he’s not sure if any of his vocal work made it into the movie, but that hasn’t stopped fans of both Schwartz and the Force from producing all sorts of “BB-8 as Jean-Ralphio” material online. While the first inkling that this was a meme came back in December and January, when the movie was still fresh in theaters, now that it’s out on Blu-ray and DVD, the flood gates are about to really open, with fans potentially slapping together all their favorite Saper-isms with BB-8 footage.
Schwartz himself retweeted writer Jesse Carp’s admittedly amateur blend of the two, noting:
Schwartz only tweeted Carp’s fourth post, though, and the first three are, arguably, just as good, if not better. This one, for instance, is laugh-out-loud funny:
The other two aren’t quite as outstanding, but they’re still pretty good.
Carp is incredibly active over on Twitter for those who are interested in more of his stuff, and Schwartz can be seen in the new season of House Of Lies, which airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
