The journey from Mr. Chips to Scarface only takes 2 hours in this Breaking Bad edit
Among the shows tossed out as all-time greats, few are as compulsively watchable as Breaking Bad, which found a way to consistently end on improbable cliffhangers and to careen forward narratively with each new episode. It had all the surprise deaths and end-of-season twists to be expected from any appointment-viewing TV show, but very little fat. It was pulpy, tight, and fast—even at 62 episodes long.
All of which makes this two-hour, seven-minute fan edit of the entire series all the more impressive. Editors Gaylor Morestin and Lucas Stoll say they spent two years working on the edit, categorizing it not as a fan film but as a full “re-imagining of the underlying concept itself.” Watching it bears this out, as full storylines are reduced to montages and others are excised entirely to zero in more fully on the character arc of Walter White.

It’s a fun way to revisit the series and to experience it through a new lens, but it’s no substitute for the real thing. Unless you really, truly hated the airplane-crash subplot of season two, in which event, you are in luck: It’s been cut entirely.
