The kid from A Deadly Adoption to play Dolly Parton for NBC

Alyvia Lind, a child actress best known (since it debuted last month, anyway) for her role as Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s daughter in A Deadly Adoption and of whom it is surprisingly difficult to find a decent picture from said Lifetime movie, will play a young Dolly Parton in Coat Of Many Colors, NBC’s upcoming TV movie about the endearingly gaudy country singer’s early life.

According to Variety, the movie will not be a biopic, but will tell the story of the “tight-knit Parton family as they struggle to overcome devastating tragedy and discover the healing power of love,” which sounds like a biopic to us, but whatever. The network also says that the movie will not address Parton’s musical career, which makes sense because it revolves around events that happened when she was nine years old. The movie will also be “faith based,” in case it didn’t already sound boring enough. Good for that little girl, anyway.

No release date has been set for Coat Of Many Colors.
