The Killers release “The Man,” their first single since 2012
Discounting greatest hits compilations and the odd Christmas album for charity, it’s been five years since The Killers released a new album. (Their last, Battle Born, arrived in 2012, to guardedly positive reviews.) That’s due to change, though, as the band gears up for the arrival of its fifth studio release, Wonderful Wonderful, unleashing a new, dance-heavy single, “The Man,” into the world today.
The song sees singer Brandon Flowers deploy a bit of swagger, reflecting on his persona from the band’s early days and comparing it to the guy—sorry, “The Man”—he is today. Meanwhile, the band has also announced a number of festival dates in Europe and the U.S., although a concrete release date for Wonderful Wonderful has yet to materialize.
