The latest Vanity Fair cover introduces Caitlyn Jenner to the world
Caitlyn Jenner will make her debut in the July issue of Vanity Fair. Caitlyn, previously known as Bruce, was photographed by Annie Liebovitz and interviewed by Friday Night Lights author Buzz Bissinger for the 22-page story, a preview of which is online now. Highlights of the interview include a bunch of really moving and positive sentiments from Jenner, including talk about her relationship with her four kids from her first marriage. In an accompanying video, below, Jenner says that while “Bruce always had to tell a lie…Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets.”
For those wondering why Caitlyn didn’t choose a name that started with “K,” a la her daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner and step-daughters Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian, TMZ says ”sources closely associated” with Jenner say “Caitlyn wants to make it clear to her family and the world… she is her own person.” TMZ goes on to say that it was “told it was an extremely meaningful choice for her” and that “she has never been her own person before, and becoming part of the Kardashian brood would undermine her goal.”
