The Lizzie Bennet Diaries released a charming blooper reel
It’s been almost two years since The Lizzie Bennet Diaries aired its final episode, yet fans still can’t get enough of the YouTube vlog retelling of Jane Austen’s Pride And Prejudice. The Emmy-winning webseries just released a five-minute blooper reel that captures its amiable cast goofing off and generally being adorable between takes. Produced by VlogBrothers star Hank Green (who released a shorter blooper reel back in 2012) and directed by Bernie Su, the series reimagines Austen’s heroines as modern day twenty-somethings and finds surprising depth in the story’s female friendships (as Myles McNutt explains).
Production company Pemberely Digital has since created follow-up series like Welcome To Sanditon and Emma Approved as well as a Frankenstein adaptation co-produced by PBS Digital, although The Lizzie Bennet Diaries remains the channel’s gold standard. This blooper video was posted to Pemberely Digital 2, a newly created channel for behind-the-scenes and bonus content.
