The Magicians casts the final spell of its third season
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Wednesday, April 4. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
The Magicians (Syfy, 10 p.m.): Syfy’s loose adaptation of Lev Grossman’s trilogy comes to the end of its third season tonight. After Margo was elected King of Fillory last week (and granted a Fairy eye in the process), this final installment finds the gang making its big push to get magic back once and for all. Let’s hope there’s more bear-boyfriend on the agenda, as well.
Regular coverage
Survivor (CBS, 8 p.m.)
Modern Family (ABC, 9 p.m.)
The Americans (FX, 10 p.m.)
Wild card
Catfish: The TV Show (MTV, 10 p.m.): Catfish has always been a weirdly watchable show—even now, when it seems all but impossible anyone could still get catfished for the length of time many of the subjects appear to (honestly, they don’t know how to do reverse image searches on Google?), the show’s formula remains strong. So why not watch Nev and Max’s 100th episode special, where they count down the most insane catfish stories, do some behind-the-scenes silliness, and more? If you do, I promise I’ll meet you IRL finally after all this time, and I definitely mean it, but for now let’s keep anonymously texting just like we have for the past six years.
