The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Oren Moverman, the co-writer of I'm Not There and writer/director of the Oscar-nominated film The Messengers will co-write and direct a biopic of enigmatic Seattle musician Kurt Cobain. Courtney Love will Executive Produce, which hopefully won't result in a self-serving hagiography about Love's desperate attempts to save her late husband from himself and his demons. Moverman will be rewriting a script from novelist David Benioff that reportedly draws heavily on Charles R. Cross' Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain. Cobain previously inspired the 2005 Gus Van Sant drama Last Days.
