The Mindy Project’s parade of special guest stars continues, with the Fox sitcom announcing appearances from Grey’s Anatomy/Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes and Fargo’s Allison Tolman. Tolman’s character, romance novelist Abby Berman, will appear in two episodes—including one where she’ll go on a terrible blind date with Adam Pally’s Peter. Rhimes will play herself (terribly, she estimates). How that’ll fit into the show’s world is unclear, though Mindy Kaling’s character probably gets down on some ShondaLand productions.
The Mindy Project’s third season kicks off September 16 on Fox.
