The Mindy Project’s never-ending cavalcade of guest stars (and possible dates for its title character) will continue when the show returns for the second half of its season, as Tim Daly announced on Twitter that he’s shooting a guest spot for the Fox comedy. (The show previously announced that New Girl's Max Greenfield will also make an appearance in an upcoming episode.) Daly should fit right in with Mindy and co.’s OB-GYN practice, as he recently portrayed a doctor over on Shonda Rhimes’ Private Practice (and he knows from kooky comedy ensembles from his time on NBC’s Wings). Of course, Daly’s PP character [Tim Daly-created spoiler alert] suddenly wound up dead; hopefully he’ll fare better this time.
It appears that Switched At Birth’s B.K. Cannon will also be featured in that episode, as the actress tweeted: “on the hilarious @MindyProjectFOX working with @TimmyDaly and life is good. Sexy and good.” No word on how any of this casting will affect Mindy and Danny’s possible budding relationship, but that should become clearer after The Mindy Project returns April 1.
