The movie version of Mark Millar’s Superior gets two new writers
In the future, movies will be divided into two categories: “movies” and “movies not based on comic books written by Mark Millar.” We’re not quite at that point—yet—but there are still a lot of movies based on Mark Millar books in development, and a lot that have been made already (Wanted, Kick-Ass, Kingsman: The Secret Service). Now one of the ones in development is moving forward, bringing that Millar-filled future even closer.
This comes from Variety, which reports that Fox’s big-screen adaptation of Millar’s Superior has just hired writers Brandon and Philip Murphy to put together the script. Superior is about a kid with multiple sclerosis who becomes a superhero when his wish is granted by an alien monkey—you know, that classic fable. Superior will be co-produced by Kingsman and Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn, who is bravely leading the vanguard of Millar’s Hollywood takeover.
