And now, YouTube hero Mario Wienerroither has placed it in the spotlight with a musicless version of “Oops!…I Did It Again.” Wienerroither strips the beats and lyrics from an uncut shot of Spears dancing around her Mars ship and layers in squeaking sound effects that sound exactly like a plastic jumpsuit would.
Spears squeaks awkwardly around the set in Wienerroither’s version as fire effects poof behind her. The clip is only a minute long, but it’s full of hilarious and uncomfortable vinyl crunching. Never forget the original video, which is basically a rom-com set in space and featuring the Titanic diamond. But musicless “Oops!…I Did It Again” might even out-silly that.
