The National, The Black Keys announce new albums

Brooklyn's moody, poetic The National have announced the title and release date of the new album they've been whispering about for weeks now. Says Pitchfork, High Violet—the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to Boxer (one of our favorite albums of '07)—will be unleashed on May 11 on 4AD. In addition, blues-garage duo The Black Keys announced earlier this week that they'll be chasing November's hip-hop-collaboration experiment, Blakroc, with a new full-length titled Brothers, which is set for a May 18 release on Nonesuch.
