The National is going to appear on an upcoming episode of The Mindy Project. The Brooklyn band plays the headliner of the fictional Pennyfarthing Music Festival, which Mindy and the gang will all attend. While the group is mostly there to perform “This Is The Last Time” from Trouble Will Find Me, frontman Matt Berninger will also reportedly take a chatty turn in front of the camera, delivering two or three lines about God knows what.
In a behind the scenes video, Berninger said the band got the gig because he’s a big fan of the show. He’s said as much time and time again, and—because word of that affection got back to the show—Mindy Kaling and company invited the group to appear.
The band’s episode of The Mindy Project will air Oct. 1 on Fox.
