The Neighbors 2 trailer confirms the film’s everything you thought it would be
If there was one thing missing from the bro-out festival that was Neighbors, it was a shocking and offensive underrepresentation of the ways in which sorority girls also like to party and perpetuate stereotypes. Luckily, the creators of the original film must have gotten together over a keg of beerwater and decided the only fair thing to do would be to balance the scales. That’s why Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising will soon exist in theaters near you, once again featuring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as a mouthguard-wearing married couple waging war against obnoxiously sexy college kids, who this time are female.
No good bro-sequel is complete without some dope bro-reunions though, so you bet your ass you’ll get some chiseled Zac Efron abs to go blind over again in this one. He’s going to help his old neighbors take down their new neighbors, because he doesn’t have a lot going on right now. As for Dave Franco, he isn’t in the trailer, but he’s also apparently back, maybe as the successful person his character always hinted at becoming, boners-at-will notwithstanding. Their sorority babe foils, who appear to have stolen a storyline from The House Bunny, are played by Selena Gomez and Chloë Grace Moretz. The déjà vu hits May 20.
